Wrap dress kind of day

One thing I can already cross over from my summer bucket list is to wear lots of dresses and skirts. I've been doing that a lot this summer, I feel like they are just so easy. I also love dresses like this one since the fabric is so light and it's really breathable. I wish they made this in light pink or beige as well, since I would definitely order that, it would be even more perfect for this summer heat! What do you think about this outfit and do you like wearing dresses?

Niitä on tullut käytettyä tänä kesänä oikein kunnolla, sillä ne on vaan niin helppoja. Tykkään todella paljon tän mekon kaltaisista kevyistä ja hengittävistä mekoista. Harmi ettei tätä mekkoa ole vaaleanpunaisena tai beigenä, menisi muuten heti tilaukseen, sillä kyseiset värit olisivat vielä parempia näihin helteisiin! Mitä mieltä sä oot tästä asusta ja tykkäätkö sä käyttää mekkoja?

Summer hijab tutorial

When I got the idea for this video, I knew that this scarf from The Modest Online would be perfect for it. I wanted to do a summery hijab style with a flower crown and here's a tutorial showing you how to create the look yourself. The Modest Online's chiffon hijabs are the only chiffon scarves I can use. Chiffon scarves are always slippery, but these ones I can get to stay pretty much in place. If you are not a hijabi, these scarves will also look really nice wrapped around the neck.

Here's an outfit from last week. I couldn't fit everything in my closet to my luggage when we went to Amsterdam for half of the year and this tunic is one of the things I left here in Finland. Now after not using it for a long time, I thought it would be a good time to wear it again. I combined it with a light pink hijab, black jeans, loafers and bag. I like how it looks and I actually think I should start wearing the tunic more from now on, what do you think?

En saanut koko vaatekaappia mahdutettua mukaan matkalaukkuun lähtiessämme puoleksi vuodeksi Amsterdamiin ja tää kuvissa näkyvä tunika oli yksi tänne Suomeen jääneistä vaatekappaleista. Ajattelin, että oli korkea aika käyttää sitä pitkän tauon jälkeen ja yhdistin sen vaaleanpunaiseen huiviin sekä mustiin farkkuihin, loafereihin ja laukkuun. Tää onkin mun mielestä todella kiva asu ja mun pitäiskin varmaan alkaa käyttää kyseistä tunikaa taas enemmän, vai mitä mieltä sä oot?

Heat wave

We've had a heat wave here in Finland for the past week and a half and I have to say that I've been enjoying it. After a long time we finally have a proper summer weather here in Finland. Only down side is that our apartment is really hot and it's kinda hard to cool it down, but other than that I don't mind this weather.

I have been spending time outside quite a lot and I think that light colored, loose fitting and breathable clothes are the way to survive in the heat. This dress I wore on Wednesday is quite good for this weather because of the loose fit and light color. This time I combined it with a pink hijab, pink belt, black loafers and a see through bag. It's been a really long time since I last wore that bag, but I think it's great for summer - as long as you think carefully what you put inside.



//Suomessa on ollut nyt puolentoista viikon ajan kunnon lämpöaalto ja mä oonkin nauttinut tästä! Pitkästä aikaa Suomessa on kunnon kesäsäät. Ainoa huono puoli on se, että meidän asunnossakin on todella kuuma ja sen viilentäminen on osoittautunut aika hankalaksi. Siitä huolimatta oon kyllä tykännyt näistä säistä. 

Oonkin viettänyt paljon aikaa ulkona ja oon todellakin huomannut sen, että vaalean väriset, löysän malliset ja hengittävät vaatteet on edellytys näissä säissä selviytymiseen. Tää mekko, mikä oli keskiviikkona päällä olikin hyvä näihin säihin juurikin vaalean värin ja löysän mallin vuoksi. Tällä kertaa yhdistin mekon vaaleanpunaiseen huiviin ja vyöhön sekä mustiin loafereihin ja läpinäkyvään laukkuun. En oo käyttänyt kyseistä laukkua pitkään aikaan, mutta musta se on kiva kesälaukku, kunhan miettii mitä sinne pistää.

Italy photo diary - Milan & Cinque Terre

My first Italy photo diary got a bit delayed since there were some other posts I wanted to publish before. It's bit over 2 weeks since Imran and I left Italy so it's definitely time to share the pictures with you! I had a hard time choosing the pictures for the first photo diary and these pictures are from our first and last full vacation days, from Milan and Cinque Terre.

We flew to Milan in the evening and had few hours to explore it a bit the next morning. After that we took a train to Genoa where you will see pictures from on the next photo diary. On our last day we did a day trip to Cinque Terre and visited two of the five villages. The ones we went to are Monterosso al Mare and Vernazza. I think the pictures speak enough of the beauty of Cinque Terre, it was such a nice place!

Since we didn't have time to see Milan that much, I want to visit it again in the future and stay there for a couple of days. It seems like such a good place for a weekend trip! Did you or are you planning to travel this summer?



//Ensimmäisen Italia kuvapäiväkirjan julkaisu viivästyi hieman, sillä mulla oli muutamia postauksia, jotka halusin ensiksi alta pois. Siitä on jo yli kaksi viikkoa kun lähdettiin Imranin kanssa Italiasta pois, joten nyt onkin jo korkea aika jakaa matkakuvia blogin puolella! Mulla oli vaikeuksia valita mitkä kuvat jaan tässä postauksessa ja mitkä seuraavassa. Tän kertaiset kuvat on Milanosta ja Cinque Terre:stä, meidän ensimmäiseltä ja viimeiseltä kokonaiselta lomapäivältä. 

Lennettiin Milanoon illalla ja ehdittiin nähdä Milanoa siis parin tunnin verran seuraavana aamuna. Sieltä ottettiin juna Genovaan, josta tulee kuvia seuraavassa kuvapäiväkirjassa. Viimeisenä päivänä taas tehtiin päiväretki Cinque Terreen ja käytiin kahdessa kylässä viidestä. Kylät joissa käytiin on Monterosso al Mare ja Vernazza ja uskonkin kuvista jo näkyvän miten upeat paikat oli kyseessä! 

Koska ei ehditty nähdä Milanoa vielä kauheasti, haluan ehdottomasti käydä siellä vielä uudestaan paremmalla ajalla! Mun mielestä se vaikuttaakin täydelliseltä kaupungilta viikonloppumatkaa varten. Ootko sä matkustanut tai aiotko matkustaa jonnekin tänä kesänä?

Modest fashion from Scandinavia

I recently got to know about a new modest clothing brand right out of Scandinavia! AIA clothing has some ethically produced, modest yet feminine pieces that are designed in Denmark. These ethically produced modest clothes suit the nordic simple style - sounds good to me!

They kindly let me choose two garments of my choice and I picked this beautiful dress and skirt. I have to say that the products are perfect! I'm not even exaggerating! The wrap dress is made of 100% viscose and the white skirt is 100% cotton. Both of them are made of breathable fabrics which makes them perfect for summer! What I like the most about these clothes is that they don't only look good but they feel really good on! The fabrics feel super soft against my skin, which I really love. 

All of AIA clothing's pieces can be worn in pretty much any occassion, since they can be easily dressed up and down depending of the accessories. I styled both of the clothes in 2 different ways to show you that they really go with so many different things and to give some inspiration on how to wear them.
