What next?

I hope you've had a great week so far. For some time now we've been quite unsure about what is coming next, are we going to stay in Germany or is it time to move somewhere else. Now it looks like our time in Germany is coming to it's end and we are moving back to Finland. I have a bit mixed feelings about this, part of me is sad to leave but part of me is happy, since I didn't really feel like I belong here.

When I moved to the Netherlands few years ago, it felt like home almost right away. I never got the same feeling here in Germany. It might have been the fact that almost no one here wants to speak English and I am not one who learns languages fast. I also feel like many things were better in Finland and in the Netherlands than here. I'm also thinking about doing a post where I compare living in Germany to living in the Netherlands and Finland, so let me know if you'd be interested in that.

Nyt jonkun aikaa ruudun tällä puolen on ollut hieman epäselvyyttä siitä mitä ois seuraavaksi luvassa, jäädäkö Saksaan vai olisko aika lähteä jonnekin muualle. Nyt näyttääkin siltä, että meidän aika Saksassa on lopussa ja muutetaan takaisin Suomeen. Mulla on hieman sekavat fiilikset asiasta, osittain olo on hieman haikea, mutta samalla musta tuntuu etten vaan kuulunut tänne.

Silloin kun muutin Hollantiin muutama vuosi sitten, tuntui se lähestulkoon heti kuin olisi kotona. En ikinä saanut samaa fiilistä täällä Saksassa. Yksi syy tähän saattaa olla se, ettei ihmiset halua puhua englantia, enkä ole nopein kielten oppija itse. Tuntuu myös, että monet asiat oli sekä Suomessa, että Hollannissa paremmin kuin täällä. Ajattelinkin että olisi kiva tehdä joku postaus, missä vertaan Saksaa, Hollantia ja Suomea keskenään, joten olisi kiva kuulla mikäli sua kiinnostaisi kyseinen postaus! 

White and brown

This super simple white and brown outfit has been one of my summer go-to outfits. The top is really breathable and keeps me quite cool even on the sunniest days so it's just my favourite in the summer time. The sandals I bought earlier this summer and I just love pairing them with my Louis Vuitton bag. What do you think about this outfit?


//Tää super simppeli asu on ollut yks mun kesän käytetyimpiä. Paitamekko on todella hengittävä ja se onkin pitänyt mut suht koht viileänä kaikkein aurinkoisimpinakin päivinä. Siitä syystä se onkin yks mun kesän lemppari vaatteita. Sandaalit taas ostin alkukesästä ja tykkään yhdistää ne mun Louis Vuitton laukkuun. Mitä sä pidät tästä asusta?

What I wear in a week

Summer style

I don't remember when was the last time I posted outfit pictures this fresh - or maybe I never even have. These outfit pictures are from today. I went to see my friends and since it's still quite summery here in Germany, I had to dress accordingly. I combined my new lovely dress with some sandals and a basket bag and the nice summery look was ready. By changing the sandals to loafers, the bag to a not so summery one and adding a biker jacket if necessary, this look would transition to a perfect autumn outfit! What do you think?


//En muista milloin viimeksi olisin jakanut näin tuoreita asukuvia - voi jopa olla, että en ikinä. Nää kuvat on tältä päivältä. Kävin näkemässä kavereita ja Saksassa on edelleen sen verran kesäistä, että pukeutuminen oli myös sen mukaista. Yhdistin mun uuden super kivan mekon sandaaleihin ja korilaukkuun ja kiva kesäinen asu oli valmis. Vaihtamalla sandaalit loafereihin, laukun vähän vähemmän kesäiseen ja lisäämällä tarvittaessa biker tyylisen takin tän asun saa muunnettua kivasti syksyyn! Mitä mieltä sä oot?

Brown Jumpsuit Look

You may have seen this jumpsuit on my What's new in my wardrobe and/or my Berlin lookbook video and now it's finally time to share some outfit pictures with it. I got the jumpsuit last month and I've worn it a few times already but I haven't had the chances to take pictures of it until now. I combined it with some brown sandals and my LV bag and that's pretty much it for the look. I think the jumpsuit will be so nice for the upcoming autumn, since it's so easy to style - or not to style since with it you pretty much have your whole outfit ready. What do you think about jumpsuits and this look?

Haalari on ollut mun kaapissa viime kuusta asti ja oon sitä päässyt käyttämään jo muutamaan otteeseen, mutta siitä huolimatta tuli vasta nyt otettua asukuvat siitä. Haalari yhdistyi kivasti ruskeisiin sandaaleihin ja LV-laukkuun. Tää tuleekin varmaan olemaan paljon käytössä syksyllä, sillä se on niin helppo stailata tai olla stailaamatta, sillä haalarin päälle vetämällä koko asuhan on perjaatteessa valmis. Mitä mieltä sä oot haalareista ja tästä asusta?

Eid Celebrations

As I mentioned in this post, it was Eid on Sunday. This time Imran and I didn't really do that much, we woke up quite late, got ready and went to Bamberg to have Eid dinner at Imran's cousin's place. I also decorated our home the day before and made some mini lemon muffins which turned out super delicious. So basically our Eid was filled with lots of good food and nice company.


//Niinkuin tuli mainittua tässä postauksessa, niin sunnuntaina vietettiin Eidiä. Tällä kertaa ei tehty mitään erikoista, nukuttiin myöhään, valmistauduttiin ja mentiin Bambergiin Imranin serkulle Eid päivälliselle. Koristelin meidän kämpän Eidiä varten edellisenä päivänä ja leivoin myös mini sitruuna muffinseja joista tuli todella hyviä! Eid tuli vietettyä siis hyvän ruuan parissa kivassa seurassa. 

Eid outfit

It was Eid al Adha on Sunday and this is what I wore on that day. I went with a pink abaya and wore a black midi dress underneath. I had a hard time choosing between ballerinas and heeled sandals but ended up going with the ballerinas. I also had the chance to use my new basket bag that I showed you earlier here! What do you think about my Eid outfit?


//Sunnuntaina vietettiin taas Eidiä ja multa löytyi tällainen asu päältä. Asuksi valikoitui siis vaaleanpunainen abaya yhdessä mustan midimekon kanssa. Mun oli aluksi vaikea valita ballerinojen ja korollisten sandaalien väliltä, mutta lopulta päädyin ballerinoihin. Sunnuntaina tuli myös hyvä tilaisuus päästä testaamaan uutta korilaukkua, jonka ehdinkin jo esitellä täällä. Mitäs pidät mun Eid asusta?

Here's a bit more sporty outfit from last weekend. I felt like wearing something super comfy, so I went with a black top and leggings from adidas combined with my super comfy chunky sneakers. I think this outfit would also be perfect for travelling. It's really comfortable but it's also street appropriate. What do you think?


//Tässä olis viime viikonlopulta sporttista asua. Halusin päälle jotain todella mukavaa, joten kaapista tuli kaivettua adidaksen leggarit ja paita, jotka yhdistin ihan super mukaviin lenkkareihin. Tää ois muuten myös todella hyvä matkustus asu. Kyseinen yhdistelmä on todella mukava päällä, mutta se on myös katukuvaan sopiva. Mitä mieltä sä oot?

Berlin outfit

Here's my outfit from the second day in Berlin. I actually wanted to take outfit pictures of my first day's outfit since I was wearing a new jumpsuit, but the weather didn't really allow me to take pictures of it. Luckily, I was able to get some video footage of that outfit, which you'll see on my Berlin lookbook that is coming up next week.

Anyways on the second day in Berlin, I wore this old midi dress from Zara. I combined it with some loafers, my LV bag and a light pink scarf. I think this was such a nice outfit for exploring the city, it was comfy and stylish at the same time which is perfect when you are doing some sight seeing at a new city.



//Tässä olisi asukuvia toiselta päivältä Berliinissä. Tarkoitus oli kuvata ensimmäisen päivän asu, sillä päällä oli silloin uusi haalari, mutta sään takia se ei onnistunut. Onneksi kuitenkin sain ensimmäisen päivän asusta videomateriaalia mikä on osa mun ensi viikolla julkaisemaa Berlin lookbookia. 

Tosiaan tää asu oli päällä Berliinin matkan tokana päivänä. Kyseinen mekko on vanha ostos Zarasta ja yhdistin sen loafereihin, LV laukkuun ja vaaleanpunaiseen huiviin. Tää mukava, mutta samalla tyylikäs asu olikin mun mielestä täydellinen valinta uuteen kaupunkiin tutustuessa.
