Summer Ready

Summery greetings from Germany. Every time the sun is shining and it's warmer outside, I feel like wearing either skirts, dresses or my white jeans. Last Sunday it was the white jeans' turn and I paired them with a floral shirt dress. It was also a good day to pop my Moroccan slippers on and I think they are so nice for the summer, it's so easy to just slip them on and you are good to go! 


//Kesäisiä terveisiä Saksasta. Aina kun sää vähän lämpenee ja ulkona on aurinkoista, mun tekee mieli pukeutua joko mekkoon, hameeseen tai valkoisiin farkkuihin. Viime lauantaina oli valkoisten farkkujen vuoro ja yhdistin ne kukalliseen paitamekkoon. Lämmin päivä mahdollisti myös marokkolaisten tossujen käytön ja ne onkin niin hyvät kesäksi, sillä ne on nopea sujauttaa jalkaan.

Iftar party outfit

Imran and I hosted an iftar party for the family of Imran's cousin on Saturday. In case you don't know, iftar is the meal we break our fast with at sunset time after fasting the whole day in Ramadan. Usually friends and/or family gather together for iftar to eat and spend time together.

I wanted to wear something special for our iftar party and ended up wearing this abaya. Underneath I had a pleated top and wide leg trousers. Later that day I finished the look by putting some pearl hair clips on my hijab that I bought earlier that day. What do you think about this outfit?



//Järjestettiin Imranin kanssa iftar Imranin serkun perheelle lauantaina. Jos sana iftar ei ole ennestään tuttu, niin sillä tarkoitetaan Ramadanina paaston päätteeksi syötävää illallista. Monesti iftarilla kokoonnutaan perheen ja/tai kavereiden kanssa syömään ja viettämään aikaa yhdessä.

Halusin pistää vähän jotain spesiaalimpaa päälle meidän iftaria varten ja lopulta päädyinkin tähän abayaan. Alle puin pliseeratun paidan ja leveälahkeiset housut. Myöhemmin viimeistelin lookin vielä aiemmin päivällä ostamillani helmi hiuspinneillä jotka pistin huiviin kiinni. Mitäs pidät tästä asusta?

What I wear in a week

Summer bucket list 2019

I love summer and I love bucket lists, so of course now that summer is just around the corner I had to make a summer bucket list. So here's some things that I would like to do this summer:

• Eat ice cream - what would summer be without some ice cream?

• Enjoy iced lattes outside. I love iced lattes and the best way to drink them is outside in the sun enjoying the warm summer days.

• Go for a walk by the sea. This I'll probably have to do in Finland though.

• Take a lot of summer pictures. By this I don't mean my regular outfit pictures but rather those in the moment kind of pictures.



//Mä rakastan niin kesää kuin tällaisia ''tehtävä'' listoja, joten nyt kun kesä on aivan nurkan takana ajattelin tehdä pienen kesä bucket listin. Tässä olisi siis muutama juttu mitä haluaisin kesällä tehdä:

•  Syödä jäätelöä - mitä olisi kesä ilman jätskiä?

• Nauttia jääkahvista ulkosalla. Rakastan jääkahvia ja se on parasta ulkona auringonpaisteessa nautittuna. 

• Käydä kävelyllä meren äärellä. Tää tosin täytyy mitä luultavammin toteuttaa Suomessa. 

• Ottaa paljon kesäisiä kuvia. Enkä tarkoita asukuvia vaan ennemminkin sellaisia tilannekuvia mistä välittyy kunnolla kesäfiilis. 

• Go watch the new Aladdin movie. I don't know who I'm going to go watch it with but hopefully I'll get someone to go with me.

• Spend a lot of time outside, wether it's just to go for a walk or enjoying the previously mentioned ice cream or iced latte.

• Wear lots of dresses and maybe abayas. I love wearing dresses and I love them even more in the summer time.

• Go for a trip. Now that we are going to be here in Germany for most of the summer, it would be pretty easy to take a short weekend trip to some neighbour country.



//• Käydä katsomassa uusi Aladdin elokuva! En vielä tiedä kenen kanssa sen kävisin katsomassa, mutta toivottavasti saan jonkun mukaan!

• Viettää mahdollisimman paljon aikaa ulkona, oli se sitten vaan kävelyllä käymistä tai yllämainituilla jätskillä tai jääkahvilla käymistä. 

• Käyttää paljon mekkoja ja mahdollisesti myös abayoja. Mä tykkään käyttää mekkoja ympäri vuoden, mutta erityisesti kesällä. 

• Mennä jollekin pikku matkalle. Tää kesä tulee vietettyä suurimmaksi osaksi Saksassa ja täältä olisi helppo tehdä joku viikonloppumatka johonkin naapurimaista. 

The perfect pink abaya

I have probably mentioned this before as well, but I really like abayas and I think they look really elegant. Now I found a perfect abaya for spring and summer, this light pink one with a cherry blossom detail on one shoulder. I really like the color of this one, I find this kind of a neutral toned light pink to be super versatile. Only down side to the new abaya of mine is that it's really long, but hopefully I'll be able to shorten it. What do you think about abayas?


//Niinkuin on varmaan tullut aiemminkin mainittua, tykkään todella paljon abayoista ja mun mielestä ne näyttää jotenkin todella elegantilta. Nyt löysinkin täydellisen abayan kevääksi ja kesäksi, meinaan tän vaaleanpunaisen abayan kirsikankukka yksityiskohdalla. Väriltään tää onkin mun mielestä ihan täydellinen, neutraali vaaleanpunainen käy yhteen niin monen muun värin kanssa. Ainoa miinus tosin tulee tän pituudesta, mutta toivon mukaan saan sen lyhennettyä. Mitäs sä pidät abayoista?

Girly vibes

Yesterday I met with my friend and we went to take pictures together. I wore a silver midi skirt together with a floral jumper. I had to carry 2 cameras with me since I wasn't only taking pictures but vlogging too, so I decided to use my pink Trussardi Jeans bag after a while. I think the black biker jacket brings nice contrast to the otherwise super girly look and is quite a nice finishing touch for the outfit. What do you think about this look?


//Kävin eilen näkemässä yhden kaverin kanssa ja käytiin ottamassa kuvia yhdessä. Päältä löytyi hopea midihame yhdessä kukallisen neuleen kanssa. Mukaan piti mahtua kaksi kameraa, sillä kuvien lisäksi tuli myös vlogattua ja tästä syystä päädyin käyttämään mun vaaleanpunaista Trussardi Jeans laukkua pitkästä aikaa. Musta biker mallinen takki tuo kivasti kontrastia muuten super tyttömäiseen lookiin ja viimeisteleekin asun kivasti. Mitäs sä pidät tästä asusta?

Casual Ramadan look

Here's an outfit from last week. I felt like wearing a dress yet being super comfy, so I ended up wearing my black midi dress with some sneakers. On top of the dress I had a denim jacket since it's been too cold to go out without a jacket lately. The dress is already 1,5 years old and because of it's versatility it's still one of my favourites. It's so easy to dress it up and down and I don't see myself getting tired of it any time soon.


//Tässä olis asukuvia viime viikolta. Teki mieli pukeutua mekkoon, mutta silti pitää asu super rentona, joten päädyin yhdistämään mustan midimekon tennareiden kanssa. Mekon päälle vedin farkkutakin, meinaan viime aikoina on ollut sen verran viileät säät, ettei ulos ole ollut asiaa ilman takkia. Kyseinen mekko on muuten jo 1,5 vuotta vanha, mutta sen monipuolisuuden vuoksi se on edelleen yks mun lemppareista. Sen saa niin helposti taipumaan sekä rennompaan kuin vähän hienompaankin asuun.

5 things that made me happy this week

It's been a while since I did a post like this, so here's some things that have made me happy this week. What has made you happy lately?

- The start of Ramadan, the month when us muslims are fasting.

- Our Ramadan decorations. I decorated our home last week already, but looking at the decorations make me just really happy.



//Siitä onkin jo aikaa kun viimeksi tein tälläisen postauksen. Tässä olisi muutama asia mitkä on tehnyt mut iloiseksi tällä viikolla. Mitkä asiat on saanut sut iloiseksi viimeaikoina?

- Ramadanin, muslimien paastokuukauden alkaminen.

- Ramadan koristeet. Koristelin meidän asunnon jo viime viikolla, mutta niiden näkeminen saa mut vaan tosi iloiseksi. 

- Feeling a bit better, after having a flu for almost a week.

- My upcoming Instagram collaborations, some really exciting things coming!

- Taking a bath and using a Lush bath bomb. I just love bath bombs, especially those kind that make the water all nice and colorful.

- Tulevat Instagram yhteistyöt, muutama kiva yhteistyö meinaan luvassa!

- Kylvyssä käynti Lushin kylpypommin kera. Mä tykkään ihan sikana kylpypommeista ja varsinkin sellaisista jotka värjää veden kivan väriseksi. 

Extempore trip

Guess where these pictures were taken? If you couldn't tell by the slightly more wintery outfit, these were taken in Helsinki, Finland. We got a really fairly priced tickets and did an extempore trip there last weekend. I also got time to see Sara, we went for a coffee as usual and ended up taking outfit pictures inside a shopping mall, since it was actually snowing outside.


//Arvaa missä nää kuvat on otettu! Jos hieman talvisempi asu tai taustalla näkyvä ostoskeskus ei sitä kerro, niin vastaus on Helsinki. Saatiin halvat liput ja tehtiinkin pieni extempore matka Suomeen viikonloppuna. Ehdin myös nähdä Saraa pikaisesti, käytiin kahvilla niinkuin yleensä ja päädyttiin ottamaan asukuvat kauppakeskuksen sisällä, meinaan ulkona satoi lunta.

Ramadan preparations

Festival vibes

There's been this festival here in Nuremberg for about 2 weeks now and a week ago I decided to go there with some friends. We had such a nice weather, it was mostly sunny and 27°C warm so I decided to go with some light colored clothes. I think the combination of white shirt, white jeans and the straw bag make a nicely summery look. That being said, I'm so ready for summer, what about you?


//Täällä Nürnbergissä on ollut nyt noin kahden viikon ajan Volksfest niminen festivaali/tivoli käynnissä ja päätettiin käväistä siellä yhdessä kavereiden kanssa viikko sitten. Saatiin nauttia mitä ihanimmasta säästä, lämpöä oli 27°C ja aurinkokin paistoi suurimman osan ajasta. Päälle päätyikin valkoiset farkut, valkoinen paitamekko ja korilaukku. Yhdessä nää saikin mun mielestä kivan kesäisen asun aikaan ja siitä puheen ollen, ootan jo innolla kesää, entäs sä?
